Expanding to meet the growing needs of our community Carson Valley Medical Center has been providing healthcare to our community since 1993. Since then, many things have changed—such as fashion and the invention of the smartphone. To continue serving the residents of Genoa, Gardnerville, Topaz Ranch, Minden and beyond, we kicked off a multiyear, multimilliondollar expansion in October 2021. But we aren’t waiting until completion in 2024 to increase our services. We’ve already started! ➜ In April 2022, the Rehabilitation and Outpatient Therapy Center expanded to 8,500 square feet of space. This allows us to treat patients with a wide range of customized therapies. ➜ As of June 2022, the expansion of our Ironwood location allows additional specialty care for our community. This includes the newest tenant in the building: Barton Obstetrics and Gynecology, which provides women’s health services to the Carson Valley. ➜ You’ve likely noticed some work around the hospital. To accommodate construction equipment, some parking spaces have been blocked off. Don’t worry! There is still plenty of parking close to the entrances. ➜ We are working with community partners at the Washoe Tribe to safely and professionally remove landscaping and donate it to the tribe for their community improvements.
